Paraplegic sailor keeps the wind in her sails

She will be the only North American disabled female sailor in the 180-year-old race, which runs from Saturday through Aug. 5 off the Isle of Wight. She and her crew will face 8,500 able-bodied competitors in 1,000 boats from around the world

Her job? She's the skipper. She drives the boat..


Here is another amazing story! Really, I'm amazed how PWDs do accomplish these extraordinary things in their lives. It is out of this world!!
Kerry Gruson has traveled to England to compete in the Skandia Cowes Week, the world's largest sailing competition.
