I have read the story of Don Shoendorfer a mechanical engineer who more than 25 years a go watched a Moroccan woman craw across a dirt road. In 1999 The Free Wheelchair Mission was born.
As the story goes. "The first step was to design and develop the least expensive wheelchair. Second to dispense the wheelchair at no cost to the physically disabled poor in developing countries on a non discriminatory basis"
